The focus in the middle years is on increasing student wellbeing and engagement in learning. Students are involved in a hands on curriculum which increases functional literacy and numeracy skills and provides them with a range of community access experiences that endeavour to make them able to function more independently in the community. Our school acknowledges that many of our students learn best by "doing". Students are assisted to develop appropriate social and behaviour management skills with a huge emphasis being placed on personal development.
