The town of Talbot has established
an umbrella body called Talbot Action Incorporated. ACTION
is an acronym that stands for Advancing Community Through
Innovative Organisational Networking. So far there are three
organisations that have come under the umbrella, Talbot Today
and Tomorrow, Talbot Tourism and Talbot Taskforce. Other Talbot
organisations are considering membership at present and any
Talbot organisation is welcome to participate.
The benefits of participating
in Talbot Action Inc. are numerous including incorporation
status, joint grant applications, access to the grants application
writing skills of the umbrella body, tax deductibility, an
ABN number, joint/shared purchasing power, to name a few
