Heritage Town Walk of Carisbrook

Situated on Deep Creek, Carisbrook was surveyed in 1851. Carisbrook has a rich and diverse 150 year history. From its early beginnings as a pastoral service centre, Carisbrook, like so many other Central Victorian towns, then had a long history of deep lead goldmining. In its hey day Carisbrook was also a bustling administration centre for both State and Local Government activities.

Our Walking Tour is a trail of colonial discovery. In the centre of town, Deep Creek is the home of the platypus and also a great place for a relaxing picnic or a BBQ.

Come and soak up the history and enjoy the country atmosphere that is Carisbrook.
