PROBUS CLUBS,
FOR ACTIVE RETIREES

Probus is an association of retired and semi-retired people who join together in clubs, the basic purpose of which is to provide regular opportunities for them to keep their minds active, expand their interests and to enjoy the fellowship of new friends.

The word Probus is an amalgam of the words Professional and Business. All clubs are sponsored by Rotary clubs.

The only criteria for membership is to be no longer full time in the work force.

Currently there are four clubs in the local District :

Maryborough Combined	Meets first Tuesday from 10am to noon at Maryborough Highland Society.
Maryborough Ladies	Meets first Monday from 10am to noon at Maryborough Highland Society.
Avoca	Meets third Monday from 10am to noon.

MEMBERSHIP

Currently, Maryborough Combined Probus Club has 134 members and meets on the first Tuesday of each month (except January) at the Maryborough Highland Society.
